The popular iPad-only drawing app iDraw has drawn yet another major update.
The app, which is a more than worthy iOS counterpart of Adobe Illustrator, is a feature-rich vector drawing and illustration app.
Unlike most other drawing apps, iDraw is vastly capable of working with vector designs.
Like most other drawing apps, though, iDraw provides basic drawing tools — as it should. These include brushes, pencils, shapes, and text tools. It’s worth noting that most of these tools are highly customizable, letting you create custom brushes or shapes to suit your preference.
The latest update to the app, like the majority of updates that came before it, adds a few significant features.

One of these is the rather long-overdue iCloud support. With iCloud, you can now keep your designs up to date across your iPads. In addition, you can now easily share designs with the similarly iCloud-enabled Mac version of iDraw.
The update also introduces smart alignment guides and snap to points. These discrete but similar features let you easily align multiple objects and create designs with pixel-for-pixel precision.
Sharing options are also improved by the update. Now, Facebook and Twitter sharing in iDraw works natively on iOS 6. Interoperability between iDraw and other apps is also reinforced with the ability to export to and import from other apps.
Furthermore, the following improvements are also in order in the latest version of iDraw:
- Brush and Pencil tools can now create filled paths
- SVG import: added support for CSS definitions and path markers
- PDF import: LAB color space support and other compatibility improvements
- Fix for applying image fills to text objects
- Other minor fixes and improvements
