Figure, the simple music-making app from the popular music software company Propellerhead, has just gone universal.
Released nearly eight months ago as an app designed for iPhone and iPod touch, Figure has just been updated to be natively compatible with iPad.
Essentially, everything that makes Figure an incredibly fun app on the iPhone and iPod touch has been adapted to work on the iPad as well.
For one thing, the new iPad version of Figure offers considerably more leeway for music making.
You see, creating music with Figure basically entails drawing figures on the app’s music pad. And given the larger screen of the iPad, that music pad has been fundamentally expanded on the tablet-optimized version of Figure.

Apart from native iPad compatibility, the newly updated Figure also features iPhone 5 support and the following enhancements:
- Legato notes – Create tied notes in the pattern by drawing finger right on Rhythm wheel, then up/down
- Clear all function – Clear a whole track with one tap
- VU meters in mixer
- Updated translation (Russian and Chinese)
- Choose language in Settings
Now compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Figure is available in the App Store for only $0.99.
