Redesigned Evernote 5 Hits The App Store And Looks Fantastic

The completely redesigned Evernote has just landed in the App Store. In an attempt to make it more accessible for all types of users, the goal of the new design was to make major functions of the app accessible within two taps.
Most notably, the home screen has received a complete makeover. To let users create a new note or browse to an existing one, the screen is composed of two sections – quick notes and views.

The note list section now features a new card style to showcase note content. Users can see a good deal of information about the note before even clicking on it.
In the notebook section, users can also quickly and easily create a new notebook. The section now shows both personal and shared notebooks.
And in the iPad version of the app, users can take a look at a list of recently viewed, edited, and created notes on the homescreen for easier multi-tasking. The tablet version of the app also features notebook stack support in the notebooks view.

Evernote is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. It can be downloaded in the App Store for free. Premium features, like adding a PIN lock to the app and the ability to access notebooks offline, require a separate subscription. User can subscribe annually for $45 or monthly for $5.
Along with the new app, Evernote recently announced a new partnership with mysms that will bring SMS communication archiving to the cloud.
