Shape Improves IM+ For iPhone 5, iOS 6, And Lost Connections

Shape Improves IM+ For iPhone 5, iOS 6, And Lost Connections

Over the summer, Shape released IM+ and IM+ Pro v7.0 through v7.2 with enhancements involving synchronization, contact management, andencryption. In v7.3, the company’s all-in-one instant messaging app gains iPhone 5 and fifth generation iPod touch support, iOS 6 compatibility, and improved message handling.
Of course, native support for the mid-sized Retina display is certainly welcomed and adds the obvious benefit of being able to view more text, controls, images, on-screen simultaneously, along with an improved video watching experience.
Even so, regular users of IM+ will likely appreciate Shape’s continued attempts at bettering functionality, in this case, message handling via a queue system. If connectivity is lost, IM+ will automatically deliver all of unsent messages immediately when a connection is re-established.
If true, that’s a good step forward. However, some users are still reporting overall connectivity troubles. Indeed, this new feature will make such problems less frustrating, but let’s hope Shape concentrates on the core issues.
IM+ is a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later, and available in the App Store as a free download. IM+ Prois a universal app compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch running iOS 4.3 or later, and available in the App Store for $9.99.
