Shellrazer is about to hit the ice. The fun side-scrolling shooter has recently been updated with, dare I say it, more turtle power.
If you haven’t seen the app before, it is a lot of fun. Players must guide the war turtle across lands full of goblins and other bad guys. The turtle plows through his enemies with the help of trained gunners who come with different weapons.
Most importantly, in the update, there is now a new winter-themed world with 25 new levels for the turtle to explore and blow up. Along with hordes of new enemies, including yetis, the turtle now can head to battle with two new weapon platforms.

And along with the new content, developer Slick Entertainment is also making the game free for a week to celebrate the updated version.
The game hit the app store earlier this summer and has quickly become one of my favorites. Our own Juli Clover, in her original review, liked the title as well saying it was a great concept that both casual and serious gamers could enjoy.
Shellrazer is a universal app for both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad, and can be downloaded in the App Store now. It is also optimized for the larger, 4-inch screen of the iPhone 5 and fifth-generation iPod touch.
