Showtime Sync For iPad Gains Social Network Integration

Showtime Sync For iPad Gains Social Network Integration

Not long after finally adding native iPad support to the Dexter companion app, Showtime Networks enhanced their iPad-only Showtime Social app with audio synchronization and a new user interface. Today, the company added a Twitter feed and sharing options.
As a quick recap, v2.0 introduced:
  • A name and icon change from Showtime Social to Showtime Sync
  • A completely new UI focused on per episode content that can be paged through like an interactive picture book
  • Automatic audio synchronization to display scene relevant polls, trivia questions, and more as you watch
  • “Wrap-Up” content that includes screen captures, quotes, screenshots with quotes, and the aforementioned polls, trivia, etc

In v2.1, the update released earlier today, Showtime has integrated Twitter and Facebook for easier sharing. Converse live with fellow fans through a hashtag, i.e., show, filtered Twitter feed by tapping the chat bubbles near the top-right corner and post your favorite scenes, quotes, videos, and so on by tapping the Share button, which is also located near the top-right when viewing any of the preview or wrap-up content.
Showtime Sync is compatible with iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, and available in the App Store as a free download.
