The wait to get a so-called “iPad Mini” won’t be a long one. Apple’s compact tablet could arrive in stores in the U.K. and U.S. as early as Friday, Nov. 2. Preorders would likely start one week prior, according to Geeky-Gadgets.
Assuming this report is correct, the number of days between launch and release would be 10. The iPhone 5 and new iPad both launched nine days following their announcements.
Geeky-Gadget’s primary source correctly predicted that the iPhone 5 would be released on Sept. 21. The claim was made six days before Apple made the date official.
On Oct. 23, Apple is expected to unveil a 7.85-inch tablet along with a 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina display. The event, which will be held at San Jose’s historic California Theatre, will begin at 1 p.m. EDT. Apple sent out invitations earlier this week that included the words, “We’ve got a little more to show you.”
AppAdvice will be in San Jose and carry the event live. Hope to see you there!
