With iPhone 5 Support, New Power-Ups And More, WordsWorth 4.0 Is Well Worth It

The popular word game WordsWorth has just become more worthwhile, thanks in no small part to its latest major update.
More often than not, you can tell an update is quite significant if the version number happens to be a whole one. Well, the latest update to WordsWorth has just bumped the game to version 4.0. So, you can expect to encounter some pretty big improvements from it.
These improvements include a few technical upgrades.
There’s the game’s optimization for the four-inch display of the new iPhone 5. There’s the switch to universal binary, so you can enjoy the same game on any of your iDevices. Plus, there’s the newly added support for Retina display on both iPhone and iPad.
Beyond those technical refinements, the update also brings a number of game-centric changes.

Introduced in the update is a new scoring system involving Stars. Making words using tiles with more dots rewards you with more Stars, which you can use to unlock four new power-ups.
Don’t have enough Stars? You can go ahead and hop on to the in-game store to purchase some. But, still, making words using dotted tiles is the more fun way to go when it comes to earning Stars.
Now, about those four new power-ups … Here they are:
  • Finder: Locates the best word in the grid for you!
  • Replacer: Replaces all instances of a letter with one of your choice!
  • Resetter: Resets the Timed Tile back to zero!
  • Reviver: Game Over? Use the Reviver to earn a new life and continue the game from where you lost.
Sure, there are four of them. But bear in mind that you can select only two of these power-ups per game to help you earn higher scores.
WordsWorth 4.0 also introduces two new clubs (Word Crunchers Elite and Ultimate Word Crunchers) and 15 additional levels, bringing the total number of levels to 50.
