Announced earlier this month, the unreleased Blueprint 3D v2.0 featured a unique level creator, Halloween level pack, and iCloud integration. Today, that major update is available in the App Store.
Several puzzle games include custom level constructions tools as a way to extend replay value. However, FDG has designed a creation mechanism that’s even simpler, yet appears to be just as effective. All you need to do is take a photo or import one from your camera roll and the game will convert it into a 3-D blueprint. Now, attempt to reassemble the object, person, etc or challenge a friend to complete the puzzle.
To accommodate these personal creations, FDG has added two level storage areas, one for levels you’ve created and the other for levels shared by other Blueprint 3D users, to the level pack selection area. Of course, the third addition is the Halloween level pack. This holiday-themed group includes a witch, vampire, zombie, Frankenstein, bats, and more to get you in the spooky spirit.
Last, but certainly not least, v2.0 has gained iCloud support. Utilizing Apple’s online storage system allows you to keep game progress synchronized among all iDevices and restore that progress if you need to reinstall Blueprint 3D. FDG posts an important note that levels created with the “3D-Explode” feature, including those downloaded from friends, are not backed up to iCloud.
Blueprint 3D is designed for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 3.1 or later, and available in the App Store for $0.99. Blueprint 3D HD is compatible with iPad running iOS 3.2 or later, and available in the App Store for $2.99.
