While I’ve always been open in my love for Spotify’s iOS app, TuneIn Radio Pro is also one of my favorite music apps for my iPhone and iPad. And both versions of the title were recently updated with some nice improvements.
For iPhone 5 and fifth-generation iPod touch users, version 3.0 of the app now fills the entire 4-inch screen of the device. Users with iOS 6 can also share their favorite radio stations from all over the world more easily through Facebook.
While using the app, album artwork and station information is displayed in the lock screen to quickly and easily see what’s playing.
The app now also features hundreds of Christmas stations to get into the holiday spirit. And football fans will be able to listen to many college bowl games through the app later this year.
Finally, the update fixes playback and recordings issues.
The iPad version of TuneIn Radio Pro.
Both flavors of TuneIn Radio are universal apps designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad. TuneInRadio Pro can be downloaded in theApp Store for $0.99 while TuneIn Radio is free. The pro version features the ability to record, pause, and rewind any station as you listen. Pro users can also set timed recordings for their favorite programs.
