Watch Your Favorite TV Shows Unfold On Twitter With Live 140

Watch Your Favorite TV Shows Unfold On Twitter With Live 140

If you like to read and post tweets about your favorite shows, then iOS app developer OneLouder has a “tweerrific” treat for you: Live 140 – Tweet Streams for TV.
Live 140 is an app that curates tweets streams for TV shows and displays them in real time for your viewing pleasure:
Simply turn on your favorite show, open the app and pick your show. You’ll find a live, real-time feed of Twitter commentary from the most relevant actors, critics, and analysts on Twitter, making you the FIRST to know the inside story…. and inside jokes.
I don’t know how the app does it. But apparently there’s some algorithmic alchemy involved in the impressive way it comes up with really relevant results for streams.
Live 140 comes preloaded with a carousel view of banners representing some of the most popular TV shows today. Tapping any of this banners loads the stream for the corresponding show.

The app also lets you do a search for a TV-related keyword. For example, I searched for “Parks and Rec” (my favorite sitcom). And to my delight, it returned results for the Twitter accounts of some of the show’s cast and crew. Tom Haverford would definitely approve of Live 140.
If it looks remarkably similar to Slices for Twitter, that’s because Live 140 is actually a spinoff of that older Twitter-centric app from OneLouder.
On account of Twitter’s limitation on third-party apps, OneLouder decided to launch the “tweet streams for TV” feature as a standalone app instead of as a mere addition to Slices.
