Your Kids Will Want To Stick With The Rinky Dinky Rhyme Book For The iPad

Your Kids Will Want To Stick With The Rinky Dinky Rhyme Book For The iPad

While my 5-year-old daughter definitely loves real sticker books, she has never found an enjoyable iPad equivalent – until now. The recently released Rinky Dinky Rhyme Book features 16 original nursery rhymes with tons of digital sticker book fun.
Each page of the nursery rhyme has six stickers that can be placed on the drawing. And kids can move, rotate, flip, and change the size of each sticker for lots of fun scenarios. My daughter enjoyed making really big and really small stickers that clashed with each other.
The stickers can also be used as a virtual keyboard to make interesting music.
Each of the stories feature hand-drawn pages that look spectacular on my new iPad’s Retina display. Along with the virtual keyboard, there is also background music that accompanies each story. While I enjoyed most of the sound effects, you do have the option to turn off both the music and sounds for a quiet playtime.
Parents can read their kids the stories or have the nursery rhymes automatically narrated. With young children, parents can turn off the iPad’s multitouch capabilities and watch the stickers automatically resize.
The Rinky Dinky Rhyme Book is made for the iPad and can be downloaded in the App Store for $4.99. More nursery rhymes are promised in free updates.
And developer Simon Alexander with Rinky Dinky Co. has generously offered the chance for 10 AppAdvice readers to win a free copy of the app. I’ll choose 10 random readers who comment on this story by 2 p.m. PT on Thursday, Oct. 4. If you win, you’ll receive a promo code via email.
If you don’t win a free copy, I still highly recommend the Rinky Dinky Rhyme Book. I have a feeling my daughter will be hounding me for many days to come to play her favorite story, Tommy the Turkey.
If you’re looking for similar apps, take a look at a recent AppAdvice Jr. column.
