TodoMovies, the aptly named to-do app for movies, has just received its 2.0 update.
Released in June last year, TodoMovies has had two previous updates, one in July and another in October.
The first update featured the inclusion of international movie release dates and the ability to tap and hold on a poster to save or copy it. The second update, for its part, brought a bonus scenes icon, which indicates whether a movie has bonus scenes during or after the end credits.
But you see, neither of TodoMovies’ previous updates can hold a candle to its latest one. That’s because TodoMovies 2.0 is one blockbuster update indeed.

For starters, TodoMovies 2.0 lets you browse movies by availability (upcoming or in theaters) or by genre. It also includes an specially calculated universal rating in addition to a movie’s Rotten Tomatoes, Netflix, and tmdb ratings.
TodoMovies 2.0 also includes movie photo galleries, notification notes, iCloud syncing, and iTunes Store integration.
There’s also a neat Featured Movies, er, feature, which TodoMovies developer Taphive explains thus:
In each genre, TodoMovies will regularly feature a great movie hand-picked by the TodoMovies team. If for some reason we went on vacation :), TodoMovies will automatically feature a highly-rated movie you haven’t watched before.
TodoMovies 2.0 also brings various improvements, including new localizations and bug fixes.
