Jam for iPhone — the amazing music app that turns you into a rock star, no talent required — has just received its big 2.0 update................
First and foremost, Jam 2.0 ensures that even users who are averse to Facebook will get to try the app. That’s because Jam 2.0 makes Facebook just one of two options (and no longer the only option) for logging in to the Jam network. In addition to Facebook, Jam now supports signing in with a valid email address.
Once you’re logged in, you can enjoy the many other neat features in Jam 2.0. These include vocal remixing, post-recording auto-tune control, improved scale detector, and vocal effects.
If you can’t see the video embedded above,
Jam 2.0 also boasts several new social features.
There are new charts in which you and your songs can have better exposure. There’s song tagging, which you can take advantage of to make your song appear in special charts that appear in the app occasionally.
The app now also lets you comment on stuff on your news feed and lets you see who have liked your songs (not just the number of users who have).
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.1 or later, Jam 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. It includes two song styles for free with additional styles available for $0.99 each via in-app purchase.
