The app for iOS has received an impressive new update. Version 6.0 includes more search functionality, based largely on what folks around you like.
Originally launched for iPhone in 2011, the free Foursquare app continues to improve with each subsequent update. Last month, for example, the app’s popular Explore feature was vasty improved both in the content it provides and how it looks on the screen.
The latest update focuses on bringing users a quick overview of what other people have to say about local attractions. To do so, all a user needs to do is click on the Explore field at the top of the screen. Listed now are “Best Nearby” locations, as well as “Specials,” where local discounts and freebies are on prominent display.
