Cydia Tweak: Axis Brings A Customizable App Grabber To The Lock Screen

This new Cydia tweak provides quick access to five of your favorite apps. Axis turns your camera grabber into a multi-app launch center. Originallydesigned by Sentry last year, Axis brings functionality and native style to the lock screen.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Not too long ago, we presented you with a very similar tweak called Grabby, but in my opinion, Axis provides a better experience. There are more options for Axis and everything seems to flow a little better.
Check out our video overview below:

This isn’t meant to be a comparison article between Grabby and Axis, but there are some advantages here. Axis provides a solid app launching experience. As seen in the above video, Axis’s cursor will snap on to the app you’re hovering over. It’s not as free flowing as Grabby, which is a good thing.
Within the Settings app, you’ll find that it’s very easy to customize each grabber slot. The settings have been organized into logical categories depending on the type of app, and best of all, there’s a lot of third party app support and much more to come.
Configuring Axis
Axis also has built-in passcode support with a custom keypad interface. The only downside is, Axis will ignore the passcode time intervals specified within the Settings app, but this will probably be addressed in a future update. Also, if an icon isn’t available for Axis, you’ll be stuck with the default icon for the category used to add your custom app.
Axis has passcode support.
Aside from a few minor inconveniences, I think Axis is a great tweak and I highly recommend checking it out. Currently, Axis is available in the BigBoss repository for $0.99 and is compatible with iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6 or higher. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
