Who needs a numeric passcode when you can use piano keys to unlock your iOS device? Piano Passcode is a new Cydia tweak that allows you to set up a sequence of piano keys instead of a traditional passcode.............................
This tweak was created by Jonathan Winger Lang, and I have to admit, it’s pretty innovative. I’ve never seen a tweak that secures your iOS device like this one does. Once you’ve installed this Piano Passcode, you’ll be prompted to set up your key sequence. It may look like a piano, but it’s really a set of numbers disguised with black and white keys. Each white key represents a number ranging from one to seven. Once the correct sequence of keys have been pressed, the device will unlock.

Within the Settings app, you’ll find the option to enable or disable the tweak and the ability to change the lock screen passcode. There’s also a secure mode which will increase compatibility with other lock screen tweaks. If you’re using the standard mode for Piano Passcode, it’s not necessary to have a device passcode set. If you plan on using secure mode, you’ll need to make sure that you set up a passcode within General settings in order for the lock screen to function properly.
For a full demonstration of Piano Passcode, be sure to check out our video overview above. It’s important to note that Piano Passcode is only compatible with iPhone and iPod touch, but the developer hopes to add iPad support in the future.
Piano Passcode will be available in the BigBoss repository for $0.99 in the next couple of days. Keep an eye out for it and let us know what you think in the comments below.
