Heads up! Impending, one of the developers behind the popular to-do appClear, is back with a new iOS app called Heads Up!
Actually, Heads Up! is an iOS game. So, unlike Clear, which is designed for boosting your productivity, Heads Up! is designed for having fun … with a friend or two or even a hundred, all at the same time and in the same room.
Essentially, Heads Up! is a guessing game. Just open the game, choose a category, and put your device over your head. Then, try to guess the name, word or phrase displayed on the current card based on the clues your friends are probably yelling at you.
If you get the card correctly, just tilt your device forward to get a new card. If you get stumped, tilt backward to pass and get a new card as well. You’re given only a minute to win it, so to speak, so the more cards you get right, the better.
You can watch a demo of how the game works in the video above, which shows Ellen DeGeneres and Alison Sweeney playing the game on the former’s popular talk show. Oh, did I mention that Heads Up! is backed by the “Ellen” brand? Because it most certainly is, which explains the blond-haired woman in the game’s icon.
As you may have noticed, Heads Up! records a video of the game session in progress, which can be replayed or shared on Facebook. Below is the recording of the first game session in the video above.
