Nebulous Notes Gains MultiMarkdown Rendering, Full Folder Syncing And More

Nebulous Notes, one of the most popular Dropbox-integrated text editors for iOS, has just received another major update..................

This new update is actually the app’s first major update since its 6.0 update in November last year. That update brought a lot of enhancements, including Dropbox search, live document stats, and some UI refinements.
For its part, the latest update to Nebulous Notes brings three major improvements plus several minor ones.
Perhaps most importantly, the update adds support for syncing full folders. Previously, Nebulous Notes allows syncing of individual files only. But now, it enables you to sync files in a folder all at once with a single tap of a button.
The update also lets you tag files with hashtags and preview files in MultiMarkdown, in addition to HTML, MarkDown, and RTF.

As for the update’s minor improvements, they are enumerated below:
  • One-Button to clear cache
  • One-Button to toggle macro bar (iPhone-only)
  • One-Button to lock orientation (iPhone-only)
  • $rline and $lline macro to go to end and start of lines
  • File listings sorted by folder first
  • Fixed some glitches with macros, like $tab(2) not working
  • Added Avenir font
In her review of the app way back in August 2010, Christine praised Nebulous Notes as “truly a great tool for writers of all kinds” and “really one of the best apps I’ve encountered.” Over two years have passed since that review, and Nebulous Notes, which was already a great app then, could’ve only improved in the interim.
