WideAngle, the photo-browsing app that was released for iPad late last March, is now available as a universal app.
Through its latest update, WideAngle has been made universal and therefore compatible with iPhone and iPod touch. But even as those devices have a considerable narrower screen than the device on which the app debuted, WideAngle still offers a wide selection of ways with which to browse your photos...........................
Like the original iPad version, WideAngle for iPhone and iPod touch lets you collect all of your photos from Facebook, Instagram, and your iDevice’s photo library and Photo Stream.
Unfortunately, WideAngle still doesn’t support additional sources like Flickr, 500px, Tumblr, and Twitter. As pointed out by Christine in her review of the app here on AppAdvice, these social networks are “photo-centric (well, most) and would be a great source to add to this app in particular.”

Nevertheless, you can save your favorite photos and share them on social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
You can also view likes and comments for Facebook and Instagram photos and even like and comment on them yourself right from the app.
Of course, like WideAngle for iPad, WideAngle for iPhone and iPod touch also lets you “remix” your gathered photos by people, location, date, and source, among many other types of filters.
“I’m enjoying the app so far, as it’s a great way to get all of your photo-heavy networks into one place,” wrote Christine in here review of WideAngle. “It’s also a much more efficient way to browse through Facebook and Instagram if you are just in the mood for photos, and not a bunch of silly updates and game requests and whatnot.”
