Felix For App.net Update Brings A New Way To Navigate The App

Just a little more than a month after jumping up to version 2.0, Felix for App.net has been updated to add a slate of new features and improvements..................

Version 2.1 of the app brings mostly the same changes to both the iPhone and iPad editions.
First up, there is a new way to navigate through the app besides the interesting puck concept. Users of both versions can swipe right from the left edge of the screen to go back. Swiping left or right with two fingers switches between the stream, mentions, and other sections of the app.
In just the iPad version, users can pull down with two fingers to quickly scroll to the top.
The other big change is the revamped private messages section. Instead of just listing who users have chats with, the most recent message is front and center. Swipe right the reply to the message, or tap on it to view the entire chat.
One of the more notable UI changes in the update includes a new transition animation when switching between streams, mentions, and other top-level views. The status bar is also now always visible in the app.
Both the iPhone and iPad versions of Felix for App.net can be downloaded now in the App Store for $2.99 each.
After its release in June, the iPad version won our AppAdvice App of the Week award.
