A mere week after its release in the App Store, Mirrorgram has already received not one, but two updates.
Mirrorgram, as might be presumed from its name, is a sort of Instagramthat somehow involves mirrors. Actually, Mirrorgram involves mirroring, an effect that leads to perfect symmetry.
Quite simply, Mirrorgram is an app that turns otherwise ordinary photos into works of symmetrical art. And like the hugely popular Instagram, Mirrorgram also offers a number of filters and sharing options.
Mirrorgram received its first ever update a couple of days ago. That update brought some improvements. But, unfortunately, it also brought a bug that resulted in instances of crashes and blank screens, especially on devices running iOS 5.
And so a follow-up update, the app’s second, had to be promptly issued. This update should already get rid of the aforementioned problems.

Of course, the intended first batch of improvements are still in place in the app.
Most notable among these is a new mirroring technique that requires tapping and holding on a photo and dragging across it. It appears that, with this technique, the mirroring axis is perpendicular to the direction of the dragging gesture.
Also included are the following:
- Faster sharing to Facebook
- Tap to focus
- Sell prints when sharing to StageBloc
- Indio filter added
- Character count for Twitter added
- Lots of bug fixes, stability improvements, and UI tweaks
Designed for iPhone and optimized for iPhone 5, Mirrorgram was launchedas a $0.99 app, but it is now available in the App Store for free.
