Puffin Web Browser 3.0 Brings New Tab Interface, Download-To-Cloud Feature And More

Puffin Web Browser, which is listed in both of AppAdvice’s separate AppGuides for iPhone and iPad Web browsers, has just been updated to version 3.0..................

Puffin Web Browser 3.0 delivers a major interface redesign plus some cool new features, including a new tab browsing experience.

To browse all of your active tabs, just click the tab number on the app’s toolbar. Alternatively, you can simply swipe from the bottom edge of the screen toward the center. All of your tabs are then presented in a neat grid, letting you see at a glance what sites you’ve been visiting recently and simultaneously.

Another new feature in Puffin Web Browser 3.0 is “download to cloud.” With this, you can download files to your Dropbox account. Just select the Dropbox option when you click a download link. “This cloud-to-cloud download will happen on our Giga backbone to Dropbox data centers,” explains Puffin Web Browser developer CloudMosa.

The latest version of Puffin Web Browser also adds color themes for the toolbar and slidebar. Moreover, it introduces add-ons for quickly accessing frequently used functions tied with popular services, including Facebook, Evernote, and Readability.

Finally, the update enhances the app’s Flash support with a brand new theater mode for Flash videos and games.

Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Puffin Web Browser 3.0 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $2.99 download.
