“Despicable Me 2,” “Grown Ups 2,” “V/H/S 2,” “RED 2,” and “The Smurfs 2.” Those are some of the sequels set to be released in July. Add to that another sequel just recently set to be released in July: Plants vs. Zombies 2..............................
Nope, it’s no film sequel, but Plants vs. Zombies 2 nonetheless has the makings of a blockbuster sequel as its predecessor is the hugely popularPlants vs. Zombies.
In August last year, Plants vs. Zombies developer PopCap Games announced that it would launch Plants vs. Zombies 2 by late spring 2013.
Then, last March, we learned that the long-awaited sequel would be launched in early summer instead.
And now, PopCap has came out with a more definite release date, that is, a more definite release month. And it has done so with a rather humorous teaser video, which you can watch below.

As indicated at the end of the video, the sequel is slated for release this July and it appears to have the official name of Plants vs. Zombies: It’s About Time.
Plants vs. Zombies was originally launched for Mac and PC in May 2009. It was then launched on iOS in February 2010 and on other platforms within the next several years, the latest being BlackBerry just last January. Indeed, it’s about time the game got its sequel.
Plants vs. Zombies, of course, remains available in the App Store. Its separate editions for iPhone and iPad, Plants vs. Zombies and Plants vs. Zombies HD, are each available for $0.99.
Last February, they were both made available for free for the first time as part of Apple’s Free App of the Week promotion in the App Store.
